Role Overview:

Reports to: Lead Web Developer

As a Senior Web Developer (React & WordPress), you will be a pivotal member of the Technology team, contributing to the entire front-end development lifecycle. Working closely with designers, back-end developers, and product managers, you will transform design concepts and user stories into responsive and optimized web applications. This role combines expertise in React and WordPress to deliver high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly digital solutions.

Job Description:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design concepts and user stories into functional web applications.
Develop user-facing features using React and WordPress, focusing on maintainable and efficient code.
Create custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to client requirements.
Optimize web applications for speed, scalability, and a seamless user experience across devices and browsers.
Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future projects.
Troubleshoot and debug React applications and WordPress sites.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in React, WordPress, and related technologies.

Qualifications:

Over 5 years of experience as a web developer and over 4 years of experience as a React developer with a strong understanding of React concepts.
Extensive experience with WordPress(minimum 3 years), including custom theme and plugin development.
Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), PHP, HTML, and CSS.
Familiarity with WordPress's block editor (Gutenberg) and modern WordPress workflows.
Demonstrated ability to build responsive and accessible web applications.
Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and WordPress security best practices.
Experience with testing and debugging across multiple platforms.

Optional/Nice-to-Have Skills:

Familiarity with additional JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, Angular).
Experience with serverless architectures or microservices.
Knowledge of advanced accessibility practices (WCAG 2.1 or higher).
Proficiency in working with Tailwind CSS or other modern CSS frameworks.
Exposure to integrating AI-driven solutions into web applications.
