Role Overview

The client is seeking an expert in e-commerce, TypeScript, and Next.js to significantly contribute to both greenfield and ongoing projects. This role is crucial for driving the continued growth of their highly successful £100m+ business. The developer’s work will have a direct and visible impact on customer-facing solutions, leading projects to success and enhancing the user experience for millions of customers. The client values a developer who is motivated to improve SEO and Core Web Vitals, solve complex engineering problems, and collaborate effectively with a talented team.

Position: Full-time

Main Responsibilities:

Lead development projects from conception to deployment, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Continuously innovate and optimize software solutions, maintaining their position at the forefront of technology and user experience.
Design and develop scalable website applications using TypeScript, NextJS, and React, within a microservice architecture.
Actively participate in cloud-based event-driven projects, ensuring technical excellence and scalability.
Lead and mentor developers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaborative growth.
Contribute to strategic planning, aligning technology solutions with business goals and objectives.
Work effectively within an agile team, contributing to all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Participate as a key member in Technical Design Forums to present and assess technical proposals.
Ensure software quality through code reviews, comprehensive code coverage, and clear technical design documentation.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing front-end software.

Required Skills:

Minimum 8 years of experience as a developer.
Minimum 5 years of experience with React.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
Proficiency in TypeScript.
Experience withNext.js and Node.js.
Experience inleading and mentoring teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with Agile practices and SCM tools like Git.
Great verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Familiarity with Tailwind CSS.
Experience with component-based libraries or frameworks such as Vue, Svelte, or Angular.
Experience with Vercel or Netlify.
Knowledge of Nuxtor Remix.
Understanding ofmicroservices architecture.
Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating with SaaS platforms.
Previous experience as a senior front-end developer in an eCommerce setting.
