The Position

The successful ASP.NET (C#) Developer will work within our in-house team, developing and supporting our growing a range of niche insurance websites.

Reporting to a Project Manager, this role will be a hands-on role, delivering projects as prioritised by stakeholders in the business. This role will also work with other developers to help drive further development and innovation across all the company’s insurance brands.  

Specifically, he/she will be tasked to:

  • Work within our development team to support our websites and CRM systems
  • Work from briefs and assignments from the business and the senior development team
  • Deliver an excellent standard of code consistent with the company’s defined best practices and standards
  • Be flexible and adaptable working across both large projects and day-to-day maintenance requests
  • Interpret and respond with a positive, proactive attitude to briefs supplied by the business
  • Adhere to financial service or compliance requirements
  • Support IT systems and ensure effective maintenance of existing systems
  • Adhere to best practices in application of standards and adherence with compliance requirements
  • Communicate progress throughout your work, highlighting risks, issues, and proposing contingencies and solutions wherever relevant

Candidate Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in development with .NET
  • C#
  • Web API
  • IIS 6/7
  • Exposure to JS frameworks such as Angular, React, Vanilla JS, jQuery
  • SQL Server/Stored Procedures
  • Ability to adapt
  • A lust for learning and evolving your skills
  • Strong desire to deliver excellent code with a strong awareness for evolving coding best practices and standards
  • Eagerness to recommend and implement improvements to our business practices
  • Ability to adapt well to new projects, briefs, and challenges with a positive attitude, seeking solutions to challenges
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be well-organised, professional, and capable of working towards defined timescales whilst working on multiple concurrent projects
